Used as fuel in the cashew nut industry and also sold as fuel to other industries, being a suitable byproduct for this purpose, as well as possessing a high calorific value.
Approximately half of the shell produced is used in the process and the other half is destined for commercialization.
Cashew nuts that do not meet the specified quality standard are generally sold for animal feed.
